| General |
| |
| What
is our money buying? |
| Airline
industry expertise, novel ideas and the
labor time to develop them. Plus continuous
support throughout your program. Good support
is as important as good design. |
| |
| What
do you mean by "strategic design" |
| We
call ourselves LIFT Strategic Design because
design is not just nice shapes and pretty
colors. Everything we do focuses on business
strategy: what you want to achieve, and
how design can help you realize your goals. |
| |
| How
can LIFT help us reduce costs? |
| With
our industry experience and knowledge, we
propose solutions that help you avoid expensive
changes or fixes later. This gives you a
smoother operation and lower costs in the
long term. Examples includes logos, class
branding, signage systems, aircraft livery
and cabin interior. |
| |
| Why
LIFT? |
| As
an aviation specialist, we understand the
operational and design issues specific to
airlines, so can provide ideas that suit
your needs from the get-go. We are familiar
with airline products worldwide, industry
trends, and regulations. And we enjoy good
relationships with suppliers. |
| |
| We
need design input but the project is quite
small. |
| We
welcome design and consulting projects of
any size. |
| |
| Can
you help us with product benchmarking? |
| Yes.
Working with our partner specialist in the
UK, LIFT can provide a full range of benchmarking
services to help you understand your strengths
and weaknesses in the market. |
| |
| How
is your Tokyo location helpful to our airline? |
| In
particular, we are uniquely positioned to
assist airlines in Asia-Pacific. We understand
the region and its cultures, and have strong
working relationships with the major suppliers
located here. And if your cabin program
includes suppliers in Japan, we can provide
design direction and support in Japanese. |
| |
| Is
your geographical coverage limited to Asia-Pacific? |
| Absolutely
not. Airline programs involving brand, cabin
interior and product are normally international
in nature. And when necessary, we can tap
a global network of specialists (IFE, industrial
design, engineering, operations), providing
a wide range of capabilities anywhere on
the globe. |
| |
| |
| Cabin
interior |
| |
| We
have never used an external designer before
for a cabin interior project. What is the
advantage in using LIFT? |
| We
focus on your brand strategy
and design around it in a 360-degree approach.
Every tiny detail in the cabin should reflect
the strategy while communicating your brand
values. LIFT also helps you achieve a unique
cabin environment within a limited budget
and short time frame. |
| |
| How
can LIFT help us save time? |
| We
can take over the process of developing
designs with all suppliers, which frees
up airline staff to focus on more urgent
issues. |
| |
| What
are the typical design elements in a cabin
interior program? |

| |
| We
can only upgrade certain areas, like fabrics,
carpets, curtains, laminates, lavatory flooring.
Is there an advantage to using LIFT? |
| The
main advantage is that we can develop original
concepts with all items very quickly, and
can easily show you revisions or additional
concepts. And, in our office we have samples
from all major suppliers, so if time is
critical, we can put together a styling
package for you at lost cost. |
| |
| Who
selects the suppliers? |
| In
most cases, the airline selects and negotiates
price directly with the suppliers, and we
are happy to work with whomever they select.
Alternatively, if the airline prefers to
outsource that function, we can perform
the selection role. |
| |
| We
need cabin interior design for a business
jet. Can LIFT help? |
| Absolutely
yes. We can provide a wide range of design
and consulting services to business jet
owners, operators and/or MROs. With our
Japanese partner we can also offer customized
lacquer finishes for the VVIP market. |
